Life capsules and timed messages

Why people use time-locked notes, how visibility rules work, and how delivery differs from “posting online.”

A life capsule in Legacy OS is a message or bundle of content you intend to arrive later — on a date, after an event, or when guardians complete activation. It is not the same as saving a draft in email: the rules, recipients, and unlock conditions are part of the product, not an afterthought.

Timed messages can carry weight people are not ready to read today. The workspace is built so you can set boundaries: who sees what, and when — instead of leaving a USB stick in a drawer with no instructions.

Plain language, hard edges

The product cannot promise outcomes a court or a family dispute would override — but it can reduce “nobody knew where to look.” If you use capsules, say clearly who they are for and what you want them to feel when they open them.

Your Legacy workspace data is hosted in the EU (Supabase EU region) — GDPR-aligned infrastructure.
