What does 'human confirmed' activation mean?

When the time comes, a trusted person you named — your Guardian — confirms the event through a secure private link. No automation, no guesswork. They follow clear steps, verify the situation, and then the workspace releases exactly what you configured: to the right people, in the right order.

Common questions

What happens if I cancel or stop paying?: You get 90 days' notice before anything changes. During that window you can export every letter, file, capsule, and scheduled message in a standard format. If you have a Guardian on file, they can also receive an encrypted backup. We do not disappear quietly.
What happens to my data after I die?: Your workspace stays active as long as the annual fee is paid — by you in advance, or by a trusted person you designate. Scheduled messages go out as written. Your Guardian releases the rest on their own timeline, following your rules.
How does my family access what I leave behind?: You give each person a private reader link. When the time comes they sign in with their email and a code — no EternalSelf account, no shared passwords. They see only what you chose to share with them.
Is this a legal will or estate planning tool?: No. Legacy OS is personal software for organising what you want to leave behind. It does not replace a will, trust, or legal advice. Rules vary by country — consult a qualified professional for inheritance and probate questions.
Where is my data stored?: In European data centres (EU region). All files are encrypted at rest. You can export or delete everything at any time from your dashboard. Full details in our privacy policy.
