Password managers excel at live credential hygiene. Legacy workspaces excel at roles, timing, and who should see what after a transition — including messages that are not “login instructions.”
The risky pattern is pasting master passwords into chat. Prefer emergency access features from reputable managers, plus explicit legacy instructions stored where your guardians expect them.
Rotate when relationships change
If someone leaves your circle or guardian set, update credentials and access paths in the same week — empathy later does not fix a leak today.
