Starting your encrypted archive

Practical first steps: what to upload, how visibility works per item, and why bulk upload is only half the job.

An encrypted archive is useful when someone you trust can find things without guessing your passwords. Start with identity documents, account lists, and instructions — then add what carries meaning: letters, photos, creative work.

Per-item visibility means you are not forced into “all or nothing.” Some files might be for you only until activation; others might be shared with a subset of your circle today.

Labels matter

Future readers will not read your mind. Short titles, dates, and one-line context (“for my sister — house keys”) save time when emotions run high.
