In Legacy OS, your circle is the people you involve in your story: who can read what, when messages unlock, and how remembrance is invited. Guardians are a smaller set: people who can follow the activation path you define when your account must transition.
That separation matters. Sharing a photo album is not the same as authorizing estate release. The product keeps those roles explicit so nobody has to guess your intent under stress.
What “activation” means here
Activation is the controlled process by which your Legacy workspace can move from “you are planning” to “trusted people can execute.” Exact steps follow what you record and what your deployment enforces — the point is intentionality, not surprise access.
